Using ASAPAirtime, data & bills

Airtime, data & bills

State the request in plain language. ASAP identifies the network, plan, or biller from what is provided.

Airtime and data

“Send 500 naira MTN airtime to 08012345678”

“Buy me a 2GB Glo data plan”

If no number is specified, ASAP uses the number tied to the account. Ask “what data plans does Airtel have” to see real, current plans and prices rather than guessing at a plan name.

Electricity

“Pay 5000 naira electricity for meter 04012345678, Ikeja Electric”

ASAP looks up the meter before charging anything and shows the customer name it found, so a wrong meter number is caught before payment, not after.

TV subscription

“Renew my DStv subscription, smart card 1234567890”

Same as electricity: ASAP confirms what it found against the card number before charging.

Before anything is charged

For any purchase, ASAP shows the exact amount, including any fee, and asks for confirmation before charging the balance. Purchases above a small amount also require a quick passcode confirmation; see Passcodes.
